The internet has been breathing new life into the knitting community for years, connecting people and helping them to learn the craft and share their ideas. We tell you the best ways to get involved with your favourite knitting magazine, with a few more tips along the way!
1. The app

2. Social media
Whether we’re sharing a new free LK pattern, or broadcasting the latest yarn bomb to go viral, there’s always something happening in the Let’s Knit community. It doesn’t matter if you prefer Facebook or Twitter - why not join in the fun with our thousands of other followers? Plus, you can enter our readers’ makes challenges by simply tweeting us a picture of your latest free kit project, or posting it to our Facebook wall.
3. Tumblr and Pinterest
If you’re more interested in knitty inspiration and ideas, head over to Tumblr and Pinterest where we gather some of our favourite knitting designs and photos.
4. Homecraft Forum
The Homecraft Forums are a great place to chat to other readers of Let’s Knit and our six sister magazines. By combining all of our readerships, there are already 289,276 members to talk to! Why not enter the latest crafty challenge, or get advice on the WIP that’s got you all in a tangle? Plus, if you post the pictures of your latest projects, you might just make it into the magazine.

Busymitts is the world’s busiest crafting community, with 32,394 projects and counting! You can use the site to create a profile, share your makes, and be inspired by like-minded crafters.

We don’t need to tell you that Ravelry is one of the best resources for online knitters. You will find all of the exclusive LK patterns to add to your knit list, and you can also keep track of your stash by searching for patterns by yarns, designers, techniques and more.
7. Videos
If you find yourself stuck on a stitch whilst attempting a new pattern, there’s nothing better than a clear video tutorial to help steer you in the right direction. We have a range of video tutorials which teach you to knit and crochet, so you’ll never be lost again.

Microrevolt.org/knitPro converts your photographs to charts, so that you can recreate almost any scene – as long as you have the right yarn!
Ukhandknitting.com is a great way to find workshops and knitting groups near you!
