Top knit tips

Before sewing up, pin the teacosy pieces around the teapot and mark the positions for the spout and handle.

This teacosy has a decorative bottom edge that’s made up of little points. This is called a ‘faux picot edge’. Work the first six rows in stocking stitch, followed by a row of eyelets. You then continue in the pattern as instructed. When making up your teacosy, turn under the cast-on edge, folding it at the eyelet row and sew it to the WS of your work. This will leave you with a pretty edge.
