What you need to know
Master modular knitting with Wendy Freebourne’s festival poncho knitting pattern featuring mitred squares
Ponchos are just the thing to pack when you hit the road this summer; they fold up small and are brilliant for slipping over your shoulders to beat the chill in the cooler evenings. This unique garment is a brilliant pattern to develop your modular knitting skills too as you will be picking up and knitting stitches to work the poncho in just two pieces. The pattern has instructions for the different shaped panels and shows you how to join them as you go.
