What you need to know
Yarns in 100 per cent cotton are great for homewares as they wash well. The simple, understated lace pattern in the centre of the runner is lovely to work: the leaves “grow” from the needles and form as each row is worked. Simple eyelets connect the column of lace to the easy stocking-stitch side panels. A decorative metallic lace trimming highlights the lace motif.
