What you need to know

Create a cosy winter coat for a child aged 0-4 with this classic design by Veronica Shaw

We think this coat is so cute we’ve named it after our equally adorable model, George. The chunky yarn combined with the textured stitch pattern produces a thick fabric which is perfect for keeping out the elements this winter. With hood and pockets it is also the height of practicality. Why not opt for a lilac colour combination for a little girl?

NOTE: the yfwd instruction in the main stitch pattern is not an increase, simply bring the yarn to the front of the work between the needles
