Channel sailor chic with Charmaine Fletcher’s stylish tote
This eye-catching bag is not only a pretty accessory for the summer, but its large size means it’s practical too. The cables are worked on the gusset in one piece with the strap. Make two gussets and join them together at the base. The trick to successful cables is to keep an even tension when moving your stitches. Practise on a test swatch before you begin. The gold anchor buttons are a fabulous finishing touch but you could see what’s in your button tin.
