Master a fab fair isle effect in Jo Allport’s cosy accessory
Garter stitch can often be seen as a “just a beginner stitch” but it’s actually a great way of introducing texture. Jo Allport also uses colourwork in her gorgeous cowl. You’ll need to know the basics of Fair Isle and how to weave in your yarn floats, but look out for sections of the pattern where you’ll be asked to leave these loose. See Jo’s photo tutorial on the right for this clever technique.
