Cosy accessories for adults and children
Cables are a brilliant way to add texture to your knits. To the untrained eye, they look really complicated, but they are actually really easy to achieve. This set involves regular and travelling cables; they both use the same technique but pay close attention to which stitches are knitted and which are purled. The hat and mittens are available in three sizes, so kids and adults can have a matching set!
Before you get started, watch designer Jo Allport's video on how to knit cable mittens. Jo will teach you how to work cables, pick up stitches, how to cast off for the thumb and sewing up using mattress stitch.
