What you need to know

Download this exclusive 'A' toy pattern from the CBeebies show Alphablocks.

Our friend Alphablock A is a little accident-prone, so don’t forget to add her sticking plaster. She has been created by Sachiyo Ishii, and you’ll want to get crafty with card and tape to make up the box for her distinctive shape. Follow the instructions to download the template, and use the photograph as a guide for stitching her features, and she’ll be A-OK for play!

What do I need?


Yarn: Stylecraft Special DK, shades 1821 Grass Green, one 50g ball, 1316 Spring Green, 1019 Cloud Blue, 1826 Kelly Green, 1001 White, 1002 Black, 1836 Vintage Peach, small amounts of each
Needles: 3mm
Sturdy card (min): 15cm x 27cm
Ruler
Masking tape
Safety toy stuffing
Tapestry needle

Sizing


Seated height: 15cm
Standing height: 12cm

Top knit tips


Leave long ends for the parts that require assembly.

Sew seams with right sides facing, using mattress stitch.
