Knitting tutorials for kids on Yarn Shop Day!

When you head to your local yarn shop this Saturday, why not take the kids with you and get them involved in a knitting tutorial?

All participating stores will be stocked with easy-to-follow ‘Learn to Knit’ and ‘Learn to Crochet’ step-by-step tutorial sheets. Sponsored by KnitPro, they are a great chance for little ones to learn the ways of yarn and begin to make something!

KnitPro told us what a pleasure it is to see young people with needles in hand. They point out that knitting provides a creative outlet for kids, and has also been proven to greatly enhance hand-eye co-ordination: “In the screen-driven world of today, it is a welcome sight to see a bunch of kids sitting together and knitting or crocheting, chatting and laughing while they work”

At Let’s Knit, we are passionate about teaching the younger generation to knit and these wonderful tutorial sheets form part of our ‘Teach a Child to Knit or Crochet’ campaign.
