New yarn shop: Sitting Knitting

Attention Birmingham knitters! We are excited to announce a new shop for you to visit, nestled in the delightful Sutton Coldfield.

Sitting Knitting is a small and inviting shop with a weekly knitting group, soft chairs, and everything you need to complete an entire project. In fact, there might not be any reason to leave at all …

The shop stocks yarns from Debbie Bliss, Artesano, Fyberspates, Rico, Louisa Harding, John Arbon, Manos, UK Alpaca, King Cole, Araucania and Zauberball, as well as accessories and haberdashery.

Sitting Knitting’s Rachel told us: “It was about 12 months ago when the property first became available. I jumped at the chance to open my own knitting, crochet and haberdashery store! From the start I was determined that it would be the kind of shop that, as a lifelong knitter, myself and people like me would want to shop in - quality products and comfortable surroundings, as well as help and advice when needed.”

She went on to say: “I have tried to stock everything you would need to start and complete a project, so no rushing off to other places for stitch markers or darning needles. We also have other useful items, such as blocking wires, wool wash and bobble busters.

“We will be starting beginners’ lessons in October and we have plenty of children’s knitting needles - it’s never too early to learn! Our weekly knitting group is already proving very popular and we’ve had lots of enquiries about our upcoming Christmas workshop.  Having only been open for a very short time, we are already loving ‘sittingknitting’!”

Sitting Knitting can be found at:
Stable Gallery, rear of 7 Belwell Lane
Four Oaks

Alternatively, you can call 01213 084205 and find out more.
