Simple crochet stitches and colourful DK yarn are all that are required for this sunny set. Most of the motifs are worked in the round: some have been given a gentle padding to add dimension. And of course you could add to the fruity mix by making more strawberries – don't you love the way simple straight stitches bring this little gem to life!

Box frame

Top crochet tips

Adapt the sun's 'rays' instructions to make a long 'bunting' style' length. Fasten it around the frame as a pretty edging.

Box frames are so useful for creating small montages such as this. You could add a baby's name or birth date to make it more personal.
