An inspirational story from Lytham, St Annes
Knitters in the Fylde community have created around 1,300 trees in memory of ten year-old Edward who lost his life to meningitis and sepsis in December 2016. Coordinated by Linda at Bonney Fabrics, the trees will be placed around St Annes town for people to find and keep. They will help to raise awareness of the charity set up in his name using #forEdward. Edward helped decorate his family tree on the day he first fell ill, and along with his love of the outdoors and active role in the community, this inspired the project.
