Find out about the limited edition fibre that is raising money for a good cause!
For the second year in a row, Christine’s Wool Shop in Bournville, Birmingham has launched a very special yarn in collaboration with West Yorkshire Spinners. The yarn itself is a limited edition 4ply in a special colourway that was designed to raise funds for Marie Curie. This award-winning blend of Bluefaced Leicester wool and nylon will retail at £7.20 per 100g ball. For each ball sold a £2 donation will be given directly to Marie Curie to help them care for terminally ill patients and their families. CityKnits, along with their retail outlet Christine’s Wool Shop, has been run by the same family for 40 years. The family and their staff are committed to supporting Marie Curie UK, due to the care that they received during the final days of their mother Christine Davis. They are determined to give back to the nurses who helped them through such a difficult time.
