We love seeing your makes!
So many of you really out-did yourselves when it came to Christmas knitting and we were so sorry not to be able to include all your brilliant makes on our letters pages. While we’re already looking ahead to spring at LK Towers, we wanted to pause and take a look back at some of your fantastic projects and comments. Enjoy!
“I made 7 of these all in different colours unfortunately didn’t get a pic of them all together as handing them out for Christmas presents. Original pattern was red and it’s a knitting by post pattern so was pleased when I read you’re article in last magazine xxx”
Alison Paisley
“Made my own Christmas wreath this year by using a pattern from Let’s Knit for these impish elves and a double cabled scarf pattern to cover the polystyrene circle.”

“I made my own Advent calendar using 24 small 25g balls that I wrapped the same and numbered not knowing what was in each parcel until I opened them each day, then had to knit something each day and post on my own social media page, it went down a storm with friends guessing and suggesting what to knit!”

“I made these with the wool and pattern in your Dec 17 issue for a church sale. Through the year, we make prem baby clothes for local hospitals and any money we make with the sale goes towards buying new wool. I hope you like them”
Cathy Kelly
“I thought that you might like to see my completed Pudding the Reindeer. My mum had seen him advertised on your Facebook feed announcing that he was going to be in the next issue. I knew that my mum really liked him and with Christmas just around the corner it would make an ideal present. Unfortunately I didn’t get it done in time for Christmas but I did give her an IOU for “one knitted reindeer”. I hadn’t quite realised how many bits there were to stuff and sew but I finished it and gave it to my mum just after New Year. She loved it and it was a nice way to start the New Year.”
Maria Jeannette
“Thought you would like to see the secret Santa I made for Lyn at our knitting group. We had a Christmas meal and then gave our handmade gifts to each other.”
Carole Foot
“Just wanted to thank you for the penguin pattern in one of the recent Let’s Knit mags. I knitted the penguin and he’s placed on my tree but I’ve used the same pattern and made a Robin.”
Helen
“My son (who is 25) was going to buy an elf on the shelf for his girlfriend but I told him I had seen the perfect elf in Let’s Knit, he was so pleased with Bernard the Elf that I though I would knit Bernadette, his wife. I then decided the Elfin couple weren’t complete without their children, Buddy & Belle, so knitted them too. My son is busy thinking up things god his elf family to get up to!”
Julie Kearney
“I just wanted to say how much I am enjoying knitting the Christmas cutlery holders. I have always been afraid to tackle cable stitch before, thinking I can’t do that, but decided to have a go. They are not perfect, but I am happy with what I have achieved. I have put my own stamp on them.”
