Top Knit Tips

When using the Truffle yarn, take care when increasing stitches as it’s not easy to see the rows you have worked.

This project could even be used as a characterful hot water bottle cover!

You can make the pompoms with eyelash yarn, but to reduce fraying and shedding it is better to knit a similar thing instead. Cast on ten stitches and knit 24 rows to make a 10cm square and cast off leaving a long tail. Use the tail to run a gathering stitch around the edges, then stuff and secure. Use the tails to attach. Adjust the size if you wish with fewer rows and stitches. As there are fewer loose ends than in a pom-pom, it is less able to fray.
