Author of Classic Nordic Knits for Kids, Trine Frank Påskesen has named this cardigan Quilted as the structure of the pattern looks a little like quilted bedspreads with a decorative, apparently three-dimensional pattern. This texture is created by slipping stitches with the yarn in front of the work at staggered intervals and then knitting the loose strand together with a stitch above. It is a very easy pattern to knit; you will soon pick up the rhythm and enjoy the fun and variety.
