Top knit tip
Toys are generally quite a simple knit as they are mostly in stocking stitch, the tricky part comes when you come to place the facial features. The positioning of the eyes, and the shape of the mouth help to give a character personality – and decide whether your toy looks realistic or not. Eyes are usually positioned half way between the top of the forehead, and the bottom of the chin (depending on your character) – but the key is to make sure everything is level, and evenly stuffed.
