What are Labubu dolls?

Labubu dolls were first created by artist Kasing Lung and are currently produced by Chinese manufacturer Pop Mart. They are elfin creatures inspired by Nordic folklore with rabbit-like ears and cheeky grins. They are available in different sizes and outfits and often come in mystery boxes which adds to the collectable nature of the toy.

How can you tell a real Labubu?

There are lots of copy-cat versions available but an authentic Labubu will have nine teeth and the newest ranges have a UV PopMart logo on the foot. There are also differences in the quality of the stitching, the embedding of the eyes, the sharpness of the teeth and the peachy skin tone.
