Susie Johns has created his and hers versions of these marvellous mug hugs, each crocheted in different stitches and with a choice of motifs: a flower or cute snail design. The lightly textured stitch pattern on the violet cosy gives a woven appearance and is very easy to do, using only basic stitches. The pink design has a bit more texture but is still very simple, so why not pick your favourite and have a go today using DK from your yarn stash?

Yarn, DK: yellow, coral, blue, lilac, grey, 25g of each
Hook, 4mm
Press fasteners

Top crochet tip

We have used press studs to fasten these cosies around our mugs, but you could use buttons, or even ribbon to tie them in place.
