Welcome to a brand new Baby Playmat Crochet-along!
We know how much you love crafting for little ones, so this exclusive series should hit the spot. Over the next four parts, you’ll create a number of granny squares featuring different textures and elements. First up are bobbles, a bow and a cluster of buttons for a tot to play with. Once all the squares have been made, we’ll tell you how to join them together to produce a playmat that can be handed down for generations. It’s important to check your tension so that the playmat retains a neat shape as it grows. If your square is bigger than 11.5cm square, your work is looser and you should switch to a smaller hook size. If your square is smaller, switch to a larger hook.
