What you need to know

Knit and crochet Val Pierce's colourful snail toy pattern.

Forget slimy snails at the bottom of the garden - Basil is one fellow you'll definitely want to stick around! A toy project made using a combination of soft DK and textured yarns, kids won't be able to resist this merry little mollusc and, provided everything is sewn on nice and securely, he's safe for small children, too. Some parts of the snail toy are crocheted instead of knitted so it's a good chance to flex your yarn skills, too.
