What you need to know
Let your knitting take off with this beginner-friendly pattern for Val Pierce's stuffed aeroplane toy.
Jet off to knitting paradise with our adorable aeroplane! Rio is fun and easy to knit as he only uses simple increases and decreases. We love the zesty colours but you could opt for a single shade or a more traditional scheme. If you're giving him to very young children, make sure you attach all the parts really securely for safety reasons.

Top knit tips
This project has unusual shapes so you’ll want to keep your stuffing even. Use smaller pieces of stuffing and tease them out to avoid clumps, and the end of a pencil or knitting needle to push the stuffing down into hard to reach spots.
If you can’t crochet, then make the eyes using circles of white and black felt and sew them on afterwards.
