Throughout December many schools and wider communities will hold a Christingle service for children. The original Christian message has also been adopted by the Children’s Society and is now a firm event on their calendar for their work. Rather than having a candle on an orange studded with sweets, spread a little happiness with Dawn Finney’s wonderful knitted version – that of course uses real sweets!
