What you need to know

Val Pierce has created two easy-knit outfits for Ella the Elephant toy.

It may be summer, but we think Ella the Elephant needs more to wear than her big yellow knickers (unless she’s on the beach of course!). Choose from the striped dungaree carry sling – with a handy pocket for a sweet or two – or the cheery yellow dress, each adorned with a fun button. Yarn: Cygnet Silcaress DK, shades 2080 White, 2887 Buttercup, 2672 Pearl Grey, 2119 Cornflower Blue, one 100g ball of each, 2837 Fondant Pink, small amount, Black DK, oddment

Dress length (approx): 20cm
Dungarees length with straps (approx): 33cm

Top knit tip

Why not make a second pair of dungarees with shorter straps as an outfit, and use snap-on poppers for fasteners?
