What you need to know

Represent the French hens in the next square in your Christmas KAL. The knitted colourwork motif is worked using the intarsia technique which requires separate balls for each colour section on the row. Use DK yarn and 3.5mm and 4mm knitting needles. Siân Brown is a designer for magazines, yarn companies and publishers. She completed a fashion and textiles degree before starting a successful career in knitwear, which included her becoming a visiting lecturer at London College of Fashion.
