What you need to know

Let’s get these little Creme Egg chick covers out of their shells and raising some funds for charity!

Quick to knit and wonderfully simple, this cheerful little chick is made using basic stitches and a touch of toy stuffing to give it its cute, cuddly shape. It’s also just the right size to pop a Creme Egg sized choccie in the middle.

And there’s even more to cheep about! Once your chicks are finished, they can be donated to Arthur Rank Hospice Charity to be sold in their local shops and hospice receptions across Cambridgeshire. The money raised helps the charity continue providing its vital services free of charge to patients and their loved ones.

What you need

DK yarn, any colour
Needles, size 3.25mm
Felt: orange, black
Embroidery thread (if you prefer instead of felt)
Cotton wool ball
Coloured ribbon
