What you need to know

Craft your own crab with Nicola Valiji's easy-to-follow knitting pattern.

Spending his days at the bottom of the ocean, practising funky rhythms on his claws, is Mathius. Designed by Nicola Valiji, Mathius the crab is a simple make for beginner knitters since he’s been designed with basic stitches and shaping, yet the eye stalks and claws might prove a bit more of a challenge and can be fiddly to sew up. Just take your time and you’ll be shell-ebrating your finished crab project in no time!

Needles: 3mm
Tapestry needle
