Each of the kites follow the same basic pattern with varying colour sequences. Finish off your kites with authentic tail strings, bows and tail bows, giving your makes a lovely sense of movement, as though they really are going up through the atmosphere!

Yarn: King Cole Cottonsoft DK, shades 1600 Buttercup, 1575 Cloud, 715 Mint, 712 Rose, 3030 Orange, 1575 Coral, one 100g ball of each
Needles: 4mm

Top knit tips

This bunting would look great in a nursery. Why not hang it from a shelf edge or across the front of a stroller or pram to entertain the baby?

Pin the kites on the hanging string before sewing them into place to get the spacing correct.
