With pears, apples, oranges, lemons, bananas and plums, this fruit bowl is full of colour and is great fun to knit. There's also a sweet bag to hold them all in. The knitted fruit designs are very simple, so what are you waiting for? There's no real rush though, our fruit will last a lifetime!

Yarn: Bag: Aran weight, red; oddments of DK weight, shades green, natural; Fruit: DK weight, shades pale yellow, deep yellow, light green, dark green, red, orange, brown, purple, oddment of black for embroidery

Top knit tip

If you're intending to give these fruits to really small children, make sure you sew on the leaves, stems and buttons really securely. Try using a double length of yarn and oversew several times. To make sure there are no gaps in the seams remember to use small stitches when sewing up.
