Laptops are prone to bashes and scrapes, but this bias-knit cover is just the thing to cushion them from wear and tear. The colour scheme shown is perfect for a man, but could easily be softened for a feminine look.

Mark with pins height of laptop down from top and up from bottom of both edges with no increase or decreases. Measure the distance along one straight selvedge between the two pins. Measure and pin the same distance along a row of the knitted fabric and count how many stitches appear in that distance

Strap
❑Transfer sl sts from stitch holder and using yarn B work in garter st until strap is desired length. Cast off
Finishing
Do not press. Block work gently using dimensions of laptop as a guide. With RS facing out, join side panel to lower section of straight edge with no increase or decreases and lower triangle, using mattress stitch. Oversew buckle in place
Special Abbreviations
Inc-sl - knit into the back of the next stitch, do not slip the stitch worked off the left-hand needle, bring the yarn forward between the needles, slip the stitch purlwise off the left-hand needle
