What you need to know

Craft Val Pierce's set of worry teddies and knitted bunnies to help ease children's anxieties.

It’s a different take on the old adage ‘a problem shared is a problem halved’, so at bedtime encourage an anxious youngster to whisper their worries to Val Pierce’s friendly bunnies and teddies, pop them in the seasidey bag, and wake up feeling better the next day. The easy animals are made all in one piece, with legs created from seaming up the middle, and you’ll use the stranded colourwork method for working the charts for the bag. Make this project using left-over DK yarn, the cheerier the better!

You could embroider random pairs of chain stitch lines for seaweed. Use the photo as a guide or customise the bag how you please.
