What you need to know

Knit Raynor Gellatly's easy cat and dog with simple stitches and DK yarn from your stash

These knitted toys are surprisingly easy to create and make a great gift. Perfect for an adult friend who has a secret cuddly toy collection, or a niece or nephew with a birthday approaching, the thought and effort you put in is sure to be appreciated - you simply can’t lose! The body, head, arms, legs and tail are the same for both the cat and the dog, with the cute ears making all the difference. Use small amounts of DK yarn from your stash. You could even change the colours for more realistic shades and knit your own pet cat or dog.
