BUBBLES PATTERN
NOTE: the stitch patt used is 14 sts + three sts. To make a larger or smaller towel, simply work to a multiple of this. Before beginning wind yarn around 4mm needle once for each stitch you are casting on and then multiply this by five. This will give sufficient yarn to complete double crochet when finishing off scallop edging. Wind this excess yarn into a bobbin and tie up to base of work until required Using 4mm needles and yarn A (B, C) cast on 45 (59, 73) sts
K two rows Work scallop patt as folls:
Row 1: k2, * yfwd, k5, k3tog, k5, yfwd, k1, rep from * to last st, k1

Take particular care with your tension at the beginning and end of each row to keep your edges even
• When knitting three stitches together, be careful not to split the strands of the yarn
• When joining a new ball, do this on the third stitch from the edge of the work at the back, tie an overhand knot and then when finishing weave in the ends of the yarn carefully along the back edge
• To work the Swiss darning motif, thread a tapestry needle with yarn and insert it through the fabric from back to front, bringing it out at the bottom of the ‘v’ of the required stitch. Insert the needle through the two loops at the base of the stitch above, then take it back through the entry point. This creates the effect of a knitted stitch
