Keep your bottle nice and chilled with Vinnie, Amanda Walker's innovative cooler cover

Wine coolers are fabulous for keeping your drink crisp and cold while dining al fresco but they're not the most attractive of items. Amanda Walker has come up with a simple yet stylish cooler cover which is a great way to ensure your beverage remains at optimum temperature without spoiling the look of the table. Knitted mostly in stocking stitch with ribbed bands and a little colour detail, Vinnie is a great quick knit that would also make a lovely gift.

About the yarn
Debbie Bliss Eco Aran is 100% organic cotton that is produced through the Bio Re textile chain. This means that the farmers and manufacturers are treated as equal partners. The water used in the dyeing process is reused afterwards and rendered drinkable. It’s available in 24 lovely shades including bold bright tones and subtle pastel hues. Hand wash only and iron on a cool setting.

Need an alternative?
Rico Creative Cotton Aran is also made of 100% cotton and is a good substitute for this project. The yarn can be machine washed at 30°C but should not be tumble dried. Try shade 32 light blue, combined with one of the three orangey shades to replicate the colours in Vinnie.
