See the light
Brighten your world with Edison, our trendy lampshade cover by Lucinda Ganderton
Knitted lampshades have been a big trend in the interiors world this season. Don't believe us? Take a look at our LK Loves panel below and see some of the beauties for yourself! Lucinda Ganderton has designed this gorgeous Edison lampshade cover so that you can recreate the look at home for a fraction of the price. In fact, it uses less than 50 grams of yarn. If you'd prefer a starker contrast between the knitted fabric and the pale lampshade, simply choose a richer yarn shade and don't forget to always use a bulb of the wattage recommended by the lamp manufacturer.

Easy peasy
If you’re a beginner to lace, this is a good project to start with as it is a simple rectangle with no shaping involved. As long as you can knit and purl already, all you need to learn is the following four techniques:
• yfwd . yarn forward: wrap yarn anti-clockwise once around RH needle
• sl 1 . slip one: insert the RH needle into the first st on the LH needle, then slide it off LH needle
• k2tog . knit two together: insert RH needle into first two sts on LH needle and k them together
• psso . pass slipped stitch over: insert LH needle in st that you have slipped off RH needle (this will be the second st on the RH needle), pass slipped st over k st and off needle
