Meredith is worked from the top down and includes wrap and turns to create short row shaping. This technique is used to create shaping in the middle of the knitted fabric and in this case, it’s used to create the armholes. To do this successfully, wrap the next stitch before turning in order to avoid a hole and to create a smooth transition in the work. The w&t instruction on the far left explains how. When working the row following a wrapped stitch, you need to hide the wrap by picking it up and knitting it along with the next stitch.
