Come dine with me
Let's go alfresco with Sunny, Helen Ardley's vibrant two-in-one placemat and cutlery roll
When you're heading out for a picnic or having a formal outdoor feast, space is usually of a premium, which is why we've come up with this ingenious cutlery roll that doubles up as a placemat. It's bright and summery, so is perfect for the season and is practical too!

Oh sew pretty
The embroidered flowers really help take this project to another level and give it a really professional looking finish. To work each petal of the flowers, bring the yarn out of the work from back to front, leave a loop on the RS of the work, then take the tapestry needle back through the fabric close to the exit point. Secure the loop in place using a small stitch. Do the same for the remaining petals, using the same entry point each time. The stems are created using long stitches positioned closely together. You may want to practice before stitching onto your finished project.
