Anita
Amanda Walker's cunning little handbag in pebble beach stripes is the perfect accessory for a stroll along the shore, or a trip to the pizza parlour!
Rowan’s Holiday yarn is a soft, thick cotton blend of loosely linked threads, creating an airy texture, and plump knitted fabric. The olours are muted, sun bleached shades, perfect for summer knitting! The trim and handles in Rowan’s Wool Cotton give a modern lift to he Shale and Chalk stripes, and a round crochet base makes Anita both sturdy and capacious.

To make up
Weave in all loose ends. Join the two edges of the body of the bag together, carefully lining up stripes. Pin the round base to the body of he bag, and using two strands of yarn C, attach with blanket stitch (one stitch between each cast off stitch on the body of the bag). oin the two edges of the trim at the top of the bag, with the seam on the knit side. Cut a length of piping cord equal to the ircumference of the top of the bag, and stitch the two ends together. Place the circle of cord under the trim, which will roll aturally over it, and pin the edge of the roll so it rests on the final purl row. Tuck the handles under the roll and pin in place. sing yarn C stitch through the edge of the roll to the inside of the bag all the way around, anchoring the handle as you stitch.
