We get very excited when we get to try out a new stitch pattern and love the shell effect on Sian Brown's fabulous vest. It’s worked by wrapping the yarn around the needle several times to create elongated stitches, then increasing and decreasing to create the gathers. Don’t worry if you’ve never tried it before, you’ll be able to practise while knitting your tension square. Take a look at our Knitwise panel for extra guidance on the neck shaping.
