Yarn: Stylecraft Special DK, shades 1064 Mocha, 1004 Dark Brown, 1124 Greengage, one 100g ball of each, 1806 Gingerbread, Black DK, small amounts

Top knit tips

Use a smaller needle size to prevent the stuffing from showing through your stitches.

Be sure to use toy stuffing that has been certified by safety agencies so that it won’t contain any nasties. It’ll also be flame retardant and can usually be machine washed. Sew on all the pieces really securely, going over your stitches several times, if needed. Take care with the buttons and sew on the felt eyes rather than gluing, if giving the dog to a young child.
