What you need to know

No special occasion is needed to gift these bears! The pattern is the same for both so they’re quick to create and use simple shaping. Why not make a whole team of teddies? Try bright colours, a mix of ribbons, and you could even adjust the height for a taller bear by adding an even couple of rows for the main body. Have fun!

What do I need?

Yarn: DK, shades:
(A) Toffee, 25g
(B) Cream, 25g
Oddments: Dark Brown
Needles: 3.5mm
Tapestry needle
Beads: 2 x black, 6mm, per bear
Safety toy stuffing
Ribbon: tartan

Sizing

12cm tall

Top Knit Tips

You can easily use up leftover yarn to knit our adorable bear duo.

If you want to make just one bear, you’ll need 15g of the main yarn and 10g of the contrast colour.

If you’re making these little toys for young children, omit the safety eyes and embroider them using French knots or satin stitch. For older children, small button eyes will give a bear a different look.
