    Using 4mm circular needle and yarn A cast on 168 sts
    Beg with a k row work four rows in st st
    Next row (picot row): k2, * yfwd, k2tog, rep from * to last two sts, k2
    Beg with a p row work five rows in st st
    Cont in st st working Charts as folls:
    Work all 33 rows of Chart A (21 patt reps across row)
    Work all 33 rows of Chart B (24 patt reps across row)
    Work Chart A followed by Chart B twice more
    Work Chart A once more
    Cont in yarn A only
    Beg with a k row work four rows in st st
    Next row (picot row): k2, * yfwd, k2tog, rep from * to last two sts, k2
    Beg with a p row work four rows in st st
    Cast off loosely

  • To make up

    ave in all ends. At each end of blanket, fold over hem at picot row and slip stitch into place on WS

  • Side borders

    Using 4mm circular needle, yarn A and with RS facing, pick up and k 203 sts along side edge including edge of top and bottom picot hems
    Beg with a p row work three rows in st st
    Next row (picot row): k2, * yfwd, k2tog, rep from * to last two sts, k2
    Beg with a p row work four rows in st st
    Cast off loosely
    Fold over hem at picot row and slip stitch into place on WS
    Work second side border to match
