Some people start knitting baby clothes months in advance, but if you wait until the birth of a new baby has already been announced, you can start knitting a colourful set that will fit the little darling at three months or, for slow knitters, nine months. Bright shades offer a colourful alternative to the more traditional pale blue and pink, and will suit both boys and girls and, with this in mind, this jumper, hat and bootees are made in colourful stripes using 4ply yarn. You will need just one ball of each colour for the whole set, as 4ply goes a long way.
