With its lacy pattern of falling petals formed in combination with a long knit stitch, this delicate bonnet and cardi would not look out of place on one of Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairies. Kelly Menzies has designed the cap for children up to age five, and it is worked from front to back in rows, then in rounds to shape the back of the head. The cardigan goes up to eight years old and is knitted largely in one piece from the neck down, with raglan sleeves and the button band picked up separately to complete this sweet ensemble.
