Meet TikTok star and knitting sensation, Wooly McWoolface, plus download four patterns!
We’re excited to bring Let’s Knit Together members five beautiful patterns from TikTok sensation, and fellow knitter, Wooly McWoolface. Featuring loveable children’s characters, we know you’ll be just as eager as we are to bring these toys to life. Plus, there are patterns for a customisable doll and pyjamas which you can use to create a mini version of yourself or a friend.
Before you start knitting Jenna’s creations, we thought it would be to get to know this talented star first! Jenna, aka Wooly McWoolface, was taught to knit by her nan at the age of 11. After a few years of knitting, she started making small toys as birthday gifts and recently began writing knitting patterns for well-known characters and sharing her work on TikTok.
When lockdown started in the UK, her boyfriend set her the challenge of knitting a lifesize replica of Thanos from the Avengers movies. She has now completed this 8ft tall project and continues to work on a series of lifesize knits, including Shrek.
“I started my TikTok account just before lockdown 1.0 last year just for a bit of fun really! I’d seen some other creative ‘Tiktokers’ and was inspired to start sharing my own content, which at the time was just a few little knitted toys. I started working on my first lifesize project a few months later and got so much support on TikTok from so many lovely people. For me, I just love showing what’s possible with a ball of yarn and some knitting needles, and hopefully inspire some people to get crafty!”
