What you need to know
These coasters appear to be worked in the same way as a medallion – knitted on double-pointed needles from the centre outwards. However, the coasters are worked flat from the outer edge inwards and seamed, which is easier to do and yet creates the same geometric result. You decrease at quarter points across each row to work to a tight centre.
