Nicola Valiji's unicorn stocking will delight kids of all ages on Christmas morning.
The unicorn craze is always going strong and designer Nicola Valiji has done a fabulous job of bringing the trend into the most wonderful time of the year. This unicorn stocking uses basic stitches but there are quite a few elements and a bit of shaping too. If you’re not a confident stitcher, practise embroidering the eye on a test swatch first.
What do I need?
Yarn: Deramores Studio DK, shades Ruby, Frost, Mist, Citrine, Lavender, Rose, Topaz, Peridot, one 100g ball of each; oddment of Black DK
Needles: 4mm
Ribbon: red, 50cm

Tapestry needle
Sizing
43cm excl. loop
Top knit tips
If you'd prefer a more traditional stocking, you can still use this pattern, just mix up the colours and omit the unicorn!
Lightly stuff the unicorn's head for a three-dimensional look and pin it in place before sewing to make sure you are happy with the position.
