Reknit Revolution Exhibition
Where: Rugby, Warwickshire
When: 24th June-2nd September
The first major exhibition by Amy Twigger Holroyd aims to share and promote the techniques that she has developed for reknitting. She has taken inspiration from historical knitting practices and the designer aims to encourage knitters to see the pieces in their wardrobe as perfect for reinvention. Amy has also created ‘how to’ guides to inspire visitors to have a go themselves to accompany the sample garments in the exhibition. The results feature in the exhibition alongside Amy’s Cathedral Cardigans, a series of five reknitted cast-offs which interpret the construction details of gothic cathedrals in diverse ways.
