Its been a glorious October of creative crafting here at LK! We’ve had hundreds of brilliant entries to the October Reader Makes Facebook Competition. Each week we have chosen three finalists and we’ve had some absolutely fabulous entries this time around.

In week one we all admired Jackie Carlton’s gorgeous tunic
Alisa ‘O’ Brien’s royal jubilee tea party made us feel incredibly patriotic
We really liked Helen Mason’s adorable jacket for her nephew - and he looked super cute it in too!
In week two we thought Cathy Norman Green’s sweater for her niece was really cute
Debra Lynn’s fat controller and trains were fantastic makes!
In week three, Linda Hoadley’s santa mittens made us feel super festive
Lucy McCarthy’s capelet was truly stunning
We all felt very ready for Hallowe’en when we saw Debs Sherry-Brennan’s mad professor teacosy!
In week four we were inspired by all of the colours in Ann Arbuckle’s baby blanket
Helen Mirfin’s stunning jacket was a real make to be proud of
We loved the idea behind Sooz Looloo’s suffragette teacosy
In week five Calliope Skedgell’s first ever shawl was truly gorgeous
Samantha Spence’s mittens were fantastic and had such impressive detail
We were all DESPERATE for one of Bev Rushton’s amazing advent calendars

The overall winner for the October Reader Makes competition is ...
Fiona De Barra for her absolutely beautiful shawl! The incredible detail, the enormous effort and the clear admiration the make received in the LK office all contributed to her being crowned this months winner. Well done Fiona!
